The Atwater Falcons will be taking part in a tournament against the Patterson Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atwater is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Patterson will be up against a hot Atwater squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Falcons were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Hayward on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won six matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Mathias Cole was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two doubles.

In other pitching news, Juan Castro looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Hudson Pimentel, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Evan Ingraham was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last contest, Patterson made sure to put some runs up on the board against Ripon on Monday. The Tigers walked away with a 10-5 victory over the Indians. Considering the Tigers' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Andrew Garcia was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Anthony Brown, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Patterson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Atwater's record is now 11-4-1. As for Patterson, their record now sits at 5-14.
Atwater suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Patterson in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
