1A District 6 recap December 3, 2013
Trenton added to the longest winning streak in 1A District 6 this week by beating Dixie County, 17-14. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Tigers.
Trenton scaled the state rankings by moving to 83 from 116 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Andrew Thomas' team was able to move up by defeating the Bears 17-14.
The Tigers' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Stephen Smith threw for 29 yards and Brooks Martin had 29 yards receiving. On the ground Smith contributed 50 yards.
Trenton's dynamic duo of Smith and Martin proved to be unstoppable against Dixie County, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
6-foot-3 quarterback Bryce Jenkins of Hilliard is the league leader in passing yards this season with 957. He has also thrown 5 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Hamp Cheevers. The Trenton star has 25 catches for 472 yards.
The Tigers and Brent Wilkerson's team played the most contested game in the league this week, with the Tigers eventually emerging with a 17-14 victory. Smith ran for 50 yards during the win.
