The Lodi Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Lyndhurst Golden Bears at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lodi will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
Lodi had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Bloomfield on Tuesday. The Rams put the hurt on the Bengals with a sharp 13-6 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.
Tobias Suarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits.

On the hitting side, Angel Alfaro was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jonas Martinez, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lodi kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Lyndhurst ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against Leonia by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Bears have posted against the Lions since April 4, 2018.
Tyler Herman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two doubles and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryli Pineiro, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Johnny Chaname was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base and one run.
Lodi's record is now 17-5-1. As for Lyndhurst, the win got them back to even at 14-14.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lodi hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340. However, it's not like Lyndhurst struggles in that department as they've averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
