Everything went their way against Forrest on Friday as Grundy County made off with a 59-38 win. Given Grundy County's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Forrest is ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grundy County was led to victory by Kallie Parson and Kasadee Crabtree. Parson dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds, while Crabtree scored 21 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaidys Mcdaniel, who scored six points.
Grundy County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Forrest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
