Mounds View and Lakeville South squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Mounds View had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Cougars, falling 37-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

The defeat snapped Mounds View's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-5 record. As for Lakeville South, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Mounds View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeville South, they will square off against Maple Grove on Thursday. The Crimson's defense has only allowed 15 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
