Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for West Rowan + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Rowan walked away with it. They strolled past the Southern Guilford Storm with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-23. Winning may never get old, but the Falcons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Brant Graham had an outrageously good game as he threw for 266 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 13.3 yards per attempt. That's the most passing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024. Cooper Martin helped Graham out on the ground, rushing for 67 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.

West Rowan's run defense was locked in: Southern Guilford could only muster 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Kaden Sanders for the heroic effort on defense: he. West Rowan is 6-1 when they shut down the run game so well.

West Rowan's defense didn't let Devaughn Jones, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for six sacks. Elijah Davidson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He also made six total tackles, which is notable because West Rowan is 7-1 when he posts at least four total tackles, but 0-3 otherwise. Another thorn in Southern Guilford's side was Sanders, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles (7.0 for loss).

When it comes to explaining why Southern Guilford lost, don't look at Robert Scott. Despite the final result, he rushed for 67 yards and two TDs, and also picked up 73 receiving yards.

West Rowan's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Southern Guilford, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

West Rowan didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 49-14 loss against Monroe on the 14th. Southern Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
