After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Astoria, the Scappoose Indians were happy to have found some success on Friday. Everything went their way against St. Helens as Scappoose made off with a 61-41 win. With that victory, Scappoose brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
It was another big night for Quinton Olson, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Brayden Miller, who scored seven points along with eight assists and two steals.
Scappoose is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for St. Helens, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
Scappoose will be playing in front of their home fans against Seaside at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Seaside will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Scappoose surely won't give up without a fight. As for St. Helens, they will head out on the road to square off against Tillamook at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Helens is coming into the contest with six straight losses on the road, meaning Tillamook will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
