The Rochester School for the Deaf Wildcats lost to the Houghton Academy Panthers back in January of 2020, but the Rochester School for the Deaf Wildcats didn't allow the Houghton Academy Panthers the same satisfaction on Thursday. Rochester School for the Deaf took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 49-17 win over Houghton Academy. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-9.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rochester School for the Deaf to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kalena Sickler, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 21 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ashley Stuhlberg, who scored 8 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists.
The win makes it two in a row for Rochester School for the Deaf and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Houghton Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Rochester School for the Deaf will be playing at home against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Houghton Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
