On Friday, the Woodbridge Raiders faced the Delmar Wildcats in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Woodbridge took their game at home with ease, bagging a 34-6 victory over Delmar. Woodbridge might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won five contests by 22 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Traci Johnson, who rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last six times he's played.
Woodbridge's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Kam' ren Johnson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself.
The win (which was Woodbridge's third in a row) raised their record to 8-2. As for Delmar, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Woodbridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Laurel at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Laurel is ranked 20th, while Woodbridge is ranked 16th). Delmar does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
