The Boone Braves will challenge the South Lake Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Boone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Last Thursday, Boone needed a bit of extra time to put away West Orange. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Warriors 8-6. The win was familiar territory for the Braves, who have now won three matchups in a row.
Boone got a great performance from Seth Vasquez as he pitched 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Vasquez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on CJ Nassar, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. He has become a key player for Boone: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise. AC Craver was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, South Lake earned a 5-1 victory over Wolfson on Wednesday.
Logan Gurney tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over six innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Brayden Harmon was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacksyn Trevino, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
Boone's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for South Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
South Lake's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boone has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. It's a different story for South Lake, though, as they've only averaged .336. Will they be able to contain Boone's hitters?
Boone was able to grind out a solid win over South Lake in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, winning 6-3. Will the Braves repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
