The Dunham Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Slaughter Community Charter Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Dunham beats Slaughter Community Charter with 42 points on Friday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Episcopal 42-7. The win was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won six matchups in a row.
Trevor Haman had an outrageously good game as he picked up 51 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in a pair of touchdowns on the ground.
Dunham didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jrome J.J. Harris.
Meanwhile, Slaughter Community Charter got themselves on the board against Broadmoor on Thursday, but Broadmoor never followed suit. They breezed past the Buccaneers to the tune of 35-0.
Dunham better keep an eye on Ty'Kimion Ford. He was instrumental in Slaughter Community Charter's win, rushing for 134 yards and two TDs on only nine carries, while also throwing for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight passes. That's the most passing yards Ford has posted since back in November of 2024. Albert Eubanks was another key player, rushing for 123 yards on only eight carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Slaughter Community Charter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 351 rushing yards. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their rushing yard total in three consecutive games.
Dunham's record is now 8-1. As for Slaughter Community Charter, their record now sits at 7-2.
