For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Belleview Christian has managed all season.
Belleview Christian was led to victory by Brandon Ewing and Garrett Owen. Ewing dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Owen scored 29 points along with nine rebounds and six steals. The contest was Owen's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joshua Norman, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Mile High Academy saw an underclassman step up: Max Ramos scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Mile High Academy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Belleview Christian pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Mile High Academy, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleview Christian will take on Denver Waldorf at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Denver Waldorf is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Mile High Academy, they will be playing at home against Denver Academy of Torah at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Denver Academy of Torah is ranked 209th, while Mile High Academy is ranked 224th).
