Basketball Recap: Mira Mesa Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

While Mira Mesa's victory against Rancho Bernardo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Marauders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-61 win over the Broncos on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Marauders, who have now won three games in a row.

Several Broncos players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Savage, who shot 63% from the field en route to 11 points. Cyrus Sadri-Ahwazi was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Mira Mesa's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Rancho Bernardo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Mira Mesa has already played their next matchup, a 67-60 victory against Victory Christian Academy on the 5th. As for Rancho Bernardo, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-65 win against Rancho Buena Vista on the 4th.
