The Eagle's View Warriors will be home for the holidays to greet the River City Science Academy Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagle's View has four straight wins, River City Science Academy has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Eagle's View narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Trinity Christian Academy 56-54. The win was all the more spectacular given Eagle's View's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 519th, while Trinity Christian Academy is ranked 247th).
Eagle's View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kenneth Berry, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. Berry also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Justis Clements, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-32, which was the final score in River City Science Academy's tilt against Trinity Christian Academy on Monday.
Eagle's View is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for River City Science Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Eagle's View suffered a grim 73-48 defeat to River City Science Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2018. Can Eagle's View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
