The Banneker Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Bard Falcons at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bard took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Banneker, who comes in off a win.
Last Wednesday, Banneker took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 45-11 victory over Woodson. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-8.
Banneker found their leader in underclassman Promise Njoku, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Rainelle McNeill, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Bard took a serious blow against Roosevelt on Monday, falling 76-8.
The victory got Banneker back to even at 1-1. As for Bard, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Everything came up roses for Banneker against Bard in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 54-10 win. With Banneker ahead 41-4 at the half, the match was all but over already.
