The Aurora Huskies lost against the Seward Bluejays back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Aurora was the victim of a tough 58-38 loss at the hands of the Bluejays. Aurora has struggled against the Bluejays recently, as their matchup on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Aurora still got an impressive performance from Addison Fahrnbruch, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Janda, who scored six points.
Aurora struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Aurora has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Seward, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.
Aurora will be playing at home against the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crete is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Seward, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Jeffs at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Fairbury is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
