The Sequatchie County Indians will head out to face off against the Soddy Daisy Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Sequatchie County's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Soddy Daisy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
On Tuesday, Sequatchie County made easy work of Grundy County and carried off a 17-4 victory. Considering the Indians have won seven matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Soddy Daisy fell victim to Walker Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Sequatchie County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Soddy Daisy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9-1.
Thursday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sequatchie County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .415. However, it's not like Soddy Daisy struggles in that department as they've averaged .361. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sequatchie County was able to grind out a solid victory over Soddy Daisy when the teams last played back in April of 2022, winning 6-1. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
