The Union Grove Wolverines had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.8 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-48 victory over Warner Robins. That's another feather in the cap for Union Grove, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Nadea Smith was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Brooks, who scored 17 points along with five steals.
Union Grove's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Warner Robins, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-3.
Union Grove will head out on the road to take on Jones County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jones County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Union Grove is ranked seventh). As for Warner Robins, they will be playing at home against Eagle's Landing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Eagle's Landing is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
