Wood moved up to 472 from 533 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Monticello Empire. The Wildcats were able to make move up by topping Rodriguez 42-6.
Wood took down the Mustangs 42-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jonathan Camacho ran for 197 yards in the win.
Jaden Grotke was the best wideout in the league this week as Vacaville topped Napa. Grotke tallied three receptions for 55 yards. Connor Kannelis helped Vacaville's passing attack out by catching one ball for 17 yards.
Tyler Bailey put up the best numbers through the air as Carlos Meraz's team beat Rodriguez. He finished with three completions for 88 yards and one touchdown. Bailey's favorite target this week was Aaron Herbert, who caught one pass for 39 yards.
On the ground, the Wildcats' Camacho has rushed for 800 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Brandon Beck. The Vintage star has 13 catches for 330 yards.
A big matchup in Monticello Empire this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Sarjeet Singh's team. As it stands, Vacaville is in first, while the Mustangs are in fifth.
Wood made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,965 from 7,054. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 42-6 victory over Rodriguez last week.
