On Wednesday, the Cherry Creek Bruins faced the Arapahoe Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Cherry Creek enjoyed a cozy 53-37 win over Arapahoe. The win was nothing new for Cherry Creek as they're now sitting on five straight.
Cherry Creek was led to victory by Molly Dorighi and Tianna Chambers. Dorighi scored nine points along with three steals, while Chambers scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Braelynn Barnett, who scored eight points.
When it comes to explaining why Arapahoe lost, one person who can't be blamed is Liz Gentry. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points. Gentry is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last ten games she's played.
Arapahoe struggled to work together and finished the game with only three assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Cherry Creek pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Arapahoe, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
