They skirted past Sheridan Hills Christian 40-38. That's another feather in the cap for Don Soffer Aventura, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Don Soffer Aventura's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nimrod Amiel Eilon, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Sela, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Sheridan Hills Christian still got an impressive performance from Elias Feliz, who scored 15 points. The contest was Feliz's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Micah Smith, who scored six points.
Don Soffer Aventura's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
Don Soffer Aventura will head out on the road to face off against Avant Garde Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Avant Garde Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Don Soffer Aventura likes a good challenge. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they will play host again and welcome First Baptist Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
