On Friday, Cliffside Park earned a 59-47 win over Hackettstown.
Cliffside Park found their leader in underclassman Thomas Calabrese, who scored 12 points. Calabrese also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Philip Lukin, who scored nine points.
Cliffside Park's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hackettstown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cliffside Park will square off against Dwight Morrow at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hackettstown, they will head out on the road to face off against Wallkill Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wallkill Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 290th, while Hackettstown is ranked 78th).
