Basketball Recap: Providence Day Drops Highest Score of Season Against Concord Academy

Providence Day extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping them down to 0-4. They took a 74-59 bruising from the Concord Academy Eagles. On the bright side, the 59- point performance marked the Chargers' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Concord Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 69.4 points this season.

Concord Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cruz Miller out in front who shot 54% from the field on his way to 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Miller continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lincoln Raper, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points and eight boards.

Coming up, Providence Day will head out to square off against Wilson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Concord Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 92-48 win against Calvary Day School on the 24th.
