The Centaurus Warriors lost against the Holy Family Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Centaurus took a serious blow against the Tigers, falling 67-31. Centaurus has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Centaurus still got an impressive performance from Cameron Kidd, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kidd has scored all season.
Holy Family's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jennifer Altshuler, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexcia Oaxaca, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Centaurus has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Holy Family, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.
Centaurus will look to defend their home court on Monday against the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. As for Holy Family, they will head out on the road to challenge the Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Longmont: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while the Tigers have snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
