Gibault Catholic extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Karmon Grohmann. The Hawks took down the Belleville West Maroons 53-38 on Monday with plenty of help from Grohmann, who went 17-for-27 to rack up 40 points along with five boards and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Gibault Catholic's points.

Maggie Altes was another key player, putting up four points. Altes is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Gibault Catholic's win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Gibault Catholic won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Marissa/Coulterville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Belleville West, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against Waterloo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
