Sulligent took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Lamar County, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 3-2 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won three matches in a row.

Sulligent's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Lamar County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-5 record.

Sulligent has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against South Lamar on the 17th. Hopefully Lamar County paid attention to the Blue Devils' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Blue Devils at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
