Archbishop Mitty has gone 8-2 against Valley Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Monarchs will venture away from home to square off against the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Archbishop Mitty is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Presentation 14-1 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Monarchs as they're now sitting on five straight.
Kaia Williams made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other pitching news, Kyleigh Mace looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Archbishop Mitty let Alyssa Hahn and Makayla (MJ) Fikes run wild. Hahn went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Fikes went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Hahn a new career-high. Alyssa Cabrera also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Valley Christian made sure to put some runs up on the board against Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Fighting Irish with a sharp 19-8 win.
The team relied heavily on Leanna Holguin, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle Ho, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Valley Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .592. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Archbishop Mitty's record is now 15-2. As for Valley Christian, their record now sits at 13-3.
Archbishop Mitty couldn't quite finish off Valley Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Monarchs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
