Lincoln Christian is a perfect 5-0 against Falls City since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. Lincoln Christian is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Falls City at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lincoln Christian has three straight victories, Falls City has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Lincoln Christian had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 24-run drubbing they dealt Fairbury on Tuesday. Lincoln Christian put the hurt on Fairbury with a sharp 26-2 win.

Drew Mittan made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Mittan was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lincoln Christian got a massive performance out of Eilam Bryson, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. What's more, Bryson posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Ian Brester was another key player, scoring five runs while going 3-for-4.
Lincoln Christian hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Falls City came up short against Rock Port on Monday and fell 8-4.
Lincoln Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average this season. As for Falls City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Falls City's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Lincoln Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .405. It's a different story for Falls City, though, as they've only averaged .130. Will they be able to contain Lincoln Christian's hitters?
Lincoln Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Falls City in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln Christian since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
