Gulf Pointe Latin fell just short of Aletheia Christian Academy by a score of 28-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Gulf Pointe Latin has suffered yet this season.
Despite the defeat, Gulf Pointe Latin had strong showings from Coral Hamer, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and eight blocks, and Kaitlyn Lothringer, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lothringer has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Baker came up short against Laurel Hill on Thursday and fell 50-41. Baker has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Gulf Pointe Latin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Baker, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
Things could have been worse for Gulf Pointe Latin, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 31-15 loss to Baker in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Gulf Pointe Latin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
