The Union Grove Wolverines won the last time they faced the Woodland Wolfpack, and things went their way on Friday too. Union Grove took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 49-20 victory over Woodland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Union Grove.
Jordan Brooks was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nadea Smith, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds.
Union Grove's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Woodland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Grove will face off against Griffin at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Griffin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 31 last Saturday. As for Woodland, they will head out on the road to face off against Ola at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
