Basketball Recap: Devon Bell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Orestimba over Argonaut

Orestimba played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 67-42 to the Argonaut Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 171st).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Devon Bell, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 20 boards. That's the most points Bell has posted since back in January. Another player making a difference was Mathew Wales, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

It was another big night for Mitchell Mcmahan, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 boards for Argonaut. Mcmahan's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovan Dockett, who put up five points along with seven boards and three steals.

Orestimba is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4. As for Argonaut, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Orestimba didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 63-59 defeat against Livingston on the 5th. As for Argonaut, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 82-56 win against Golden Sierra on the 5th.
