The Mount Calvary Christian Chargers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. Their tough 81-58 loss to Lancaster Country Day might stick with them for a while. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Chargers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Masters, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Masters has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Kopcha, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
This is the second loss in a row for Mount Calvary Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Lancaster Country Day, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mount Calvary Christian's road trip will continue as they head out to face New Covenant Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Lancaster Country Day, they will square off against Lancaster County Christian at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Lancaster County Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Thursday.
