The Freeman Flyers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 64-35 defeat at the hands of Viborg/Hurley on Friday. Freeman has not had much luck with Viborg/Hurley recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Flyers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rocky Ammann, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Tayden Kerrigan, who scored 5 points.
Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Viborg/Hurley, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Freeman will head out on the road to face off against Kimball/White Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Viborg/Hurley, they will be playing at home against Bridgewater/Emery at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
