The Ponchatoula Green Wave will be playing at home against the Salmen Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Ponchatoula faced Liberty Magnet in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Ponchatoula took a 66-49 bruising from Liberty Magnet. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ponchatoula has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Salmen's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 70-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Paul's. While losing is never fun, Salmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 153rd, while St. Paul's is ranked 32nd).
Ponchatoula's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Salmen, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 10-13.
