After flying high against Gateway Charter last Friday, Boca Raton Christian came back down to earth. The Blazers fell 51-40 to the St. Edward's Pirates on Friday. The Blazers were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Joey Weber and Christian Anderson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Weber threw for 426 yards and six TDs, while Anderson picked up 175 receiving yards and four scores. Thanks to that big game, Anderson is now up to 13 receiving touchdowns on the season. A healthy portion of Weber's aerial production (105 yards to be exact) also went to Tavaris Wilson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Boca Raton Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. As for St. Edward's, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Boca Raton Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Cambridge Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, St. Edward's will square off against rival Lake Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Pirates their first taste of in-conference action this season.
