Hidalgo found their leader in underclassman Javier Martinez, who scored 20 points along with 7 steals. Martinez hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Rafael Galvan was another key contributor, scoring 4 points.
Hidalgo's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Valley View, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Hidalgo will be playing at home against Dekaney at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Valley View, they will head out on the road to face off against Donna at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
