Frewsburg entered their tilt with Maple Grove on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 16-3 margin over the Red Dragons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 two weeks ago.

Mason Eckman was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). Eckman was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last seven times he's played.

In other batting news, Chase Haglund was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had over his last ten matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Sheesley, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Frewsburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .531 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Frewsburg's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-4-1. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.4 runs over those games. As for Maple Grove, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Frewsburg will square off against Griffith Institute at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Maple Grove, they will take on Westfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
