Football Recap: Manteca Piles Up the Points Against Patterson

A well-balanced attack led Manteca over Patterson in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Buffaloes blew the Tigers out of the water with a 43-7 final score. The result was nothing new for the Buffaloes, who have now won eight matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Manteca to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Gully, who threw for 295 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per attempt. Those 295 passing yards gave Gully a new career-high. Nikko Juarez handled things on the ground, rushing for 117 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Manteca's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for Patterson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Coming up, Manteca will face off against Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Buffaloes will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least 31 points in their last six contests. Patterson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
