Walker hasn't had much luck against Mount Paran Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolverines are taking a road trip to face off against the Eagles at 5:55 p.m. Walker will be strutting in after a victory while Mount Paran Christian will be coming in after a loss.
Walker took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over St. Francis. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wolverines as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The team relied heavily on Jonathan Griggs, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025. Grant Addison was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Walker was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Mount Paran Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against The Weber School, falling 14-1. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Walker has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .447. However, it's not like Mount Paran Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Walker suffered a grim 6-0 defeat to Mount Paran Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2025. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
