The Tunkhannock Tigers will square off against the Towanda Knights at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tunkhannock is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games.
Towanda's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Tuesday: Tunkhannock hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Tigers never let Pittston get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Monday.
Not much got past Michaela Howell, who gave up just three hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Pittston off the board. Howell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Addisyn Waterman was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times she's played. Another player making a difference was MaKenzie Bevan, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Tunkhannock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pittston only posted a batting average of .120.
Meanwhile, Towanda won against Cowanesque Valley on Tuesday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Knights didn't even let Sayre on the board, marking the Knights' second-straight 10-0 shutout. Considering the Knights have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Payton Perry was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Brooklyn Evans was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Tunkhannock's win bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Towanda, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tunkhannock hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Towanda struggles in that department as they've averaged .315. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Tunkhannock beat Towanda 7-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2018. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
