Alief Elsik has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on The Alvin Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Alief Elsik ended up a good deal behind Alief Hastings and lost 40-24.
Meanwhile, Alvin's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by Shadow Creek 53-0. While losing is never fun, Alvin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 776th, while Shadow Creek is ranked 86th).
Alief Elsik now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Alvin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Alief Elsik couldn't quite finish off Alvin in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 and fell 29-26. Can Alief Elsik avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
