The Jefferson Panthers stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Whitehall/Willow Creek 75-27 on the road. Jefferson is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 14 straight.
It was another big night for MacKenzie Layng, who scored 21 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Cameron Toney was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Jefferson pushed their record up to 14-1 with that victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Whitehall/Willow Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Jefferson will be playing at home against the Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. White Sulphur Springs is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. Whitehall/Willow Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
