The Howland Tigers won the last time they faced the Nordonia Knights, and things went their way on Monday too. Howland simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Nordonia 61-29 on the road. With Howland ahead 39-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Alyssa Massucci, who scored 20 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Howland's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Powell, who scored 10 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Howland and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Nordonia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Howland will head out on the road to face off against East at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nordonia, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Solon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
