The Atlanta Girls' School Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cross Keys Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Thursday, Atlanta Girls' School was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 54-48 to Creekside Christian Academy. Atlanta Girls' School has not had much luck with Creekside Christian Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jade Williams, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Libby Knott was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with 5 assists.
Meanwhile, Cross Keys had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Howard 45-19. The win was just what Cross Keys needed coming off of a 57-13 defeat in their prior match.
Cross Keys found their leader in underclassman Lindsey Tran, who scored 13 points along with 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Nicole Reseniz, who scored 13 points.
Atlanta Girls' School now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cross Keys, the last time they lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 1-5.
Everything came up roses for Atlanta Girls' School against Cross Keys in their previous matchup back in January of 2022 as the team secured a 43-16 win. Does Atlanta Girls' School have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cross Keys turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
