The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mergenthaler Vo-Tech, who took down 90th ranked Mergenthaler Vo-Tech, 32-14. Troy Robinson threw for 125 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 32 yards in the win.
Patterson was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fourth in Baltimore City Division I. The Clippers beat Poly 35-22 earlier in the week.
Deion Petty was the best wideout in the league this week as City College bested the Mustangs. Petty tallied two receptions for 85 yards. Joel Gordon helped City College's passing attack out by catching three balls for 21 yards.
Dontrell Kelly put up the best numbers through the air as Douglass beat Southwestern. He finished with seven completions for 166 yards and two touchdowns. Kelly's favorite target this week was Quay Marshall, who caught one pass for 65 yards.
Tayshawn Mayo was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 123 yards on 25 carries as the Black Knights defeated Mergenthaler Vo-Tech.
6-foot-0 quarterback Brandon Oliver of the Mighty Ducks is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1015. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Edmondson-Westside's Hakeem Holland has rushed for 318 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Petty. The City College star has 12 catches for 319 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Douglass takes on Dunbar. Elwood Townsend's team is currently in third, while the Poets are in second.
Dunbar extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Red Storm, 13-8. The victory was the fifth in a row for Ben Eaton's team.
