There's no place like home for Stevenson, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Lake Zurich Bears on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stevenson never let Lake Zurich on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23.

Stevenson's offense was headlined by Abigail Inman and Nomin Baterdene, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Jane Tan and her 12 assists. Baterdene was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Stevenson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-11 record this season. As for Lake Zurich, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-14 record this season.

Stevenson will square off against Glenbard West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Zurich, after both having extra time off, they and Wheeling will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
