The regular season was a success, but the real challenge begins now, in the postseason. Columbia will square off against Century at 8:15 PM on Friday. Both teams have set a high bar for this matchup after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Columbia beat Middleton 36-31 last Friday. Among those leading the charge for Columbia was senior Allamar Alexander, who rushed for 245 yards and 4 touchdowns. Alexander has now scored at least one touchdown in the past six games.
Meanwhile, Century put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over Jerome. The success made it back-to-back wins for Century.
Their wins bumped Columbia to 5-4 and Century to 7-2. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
