After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Plainville, Hoxie was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged the Ellis Railroaders out 63-60. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-52 back in January.

Hoxie has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points over those games. As for Ellis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-11.

Looking ahead, Hoxie will be playing in front of their home fans against Phillipsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoxie is facing Phillipsburg at the right time seeing as Phillipsburg is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Ellis, they will head out to take on Plainville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plainville will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Ellis surely won't give up without a fight.
