The Cardozo Clerks put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South with a sharp 63-41 victory. Considering Cardozo has won eight contests by more than 20 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Cameron Young continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with eight assists and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Wisdom Carter, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Cardozo's victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-5 record last season and are now at 1-4.
Cardozo and Richard Montgomery will round out the year against one another at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Richard Montgomery has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 437 points over their last six matchups. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Crossland at 7:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Crossland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
