The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.
Maddux Heitzler made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Annawan-Wethersfield is 8-2 when Heitzler posts two or more runs, but 9-10 otherwise.
In other pitching news, Isaiah Cornish looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (two).
